Statute of Limitations

A statute of limitations is a law that sets the maximum time after an event to bring legal action. Each state sets a statute of limitations for specific types of claims. It is important to know what the statute of limitations is for your type of claim because if a lawsuit is not brought within the time limit, your right to bring a lawsuit and recover damages is lost forever. Below are Minnesota’s statutes of limitations for the most common types of lawsuits. Contact our experienced attorneys to help ensure that the statue of limitations is not missed.
