DWI
According to the Minnesota Office of Traffic Safety, 24,862 motorists were arrested for DWIs in 2017. This is an average of 68 DWIs per day. Nearly one out of seven licensed drivers in Minnesota has at least one DWI.
In Minnesota, the consequences of a DWI are very severe and potentially your driver’s license, your job and your future are at stake. If you have been arrested for a DWI it very important that you discuss your case with an experienced attorney. There are many investigations that can be done to examine all the facts of your case. Our Buffalo DWI attorneys work closely with clients to provide an aggressive and effective criminal defense to protect our clients’ rights. Our goal is to achieve the best possible results for our clients, ranging from lesser penalties, an acquittal, or even dismissal of charges. The DWI Sentencing Table shows what is possible based on the factors in your case.
There are potentially three separate court cases relative to a DWI charge: 1) Criminal Case (defending you from sanctions like jail, fines, and probation conditions); 2) Implied Consent (challenging the driver’s license revocation); and 3) Vehicle Forfeiture Petition (challenging the government’s taking of your vehicle).
DO NOT DELAY! Please read these important notices and deadlines relative to your DWI case:
- WARNING: preserve important evidence for your Criminal Case
- WARNING: Strict 50-day/60-day Deadline for Implied Consent (driver’s license case)
- WARNING: Strict 50-day/60-day Deadline for Vehicle Forfeiture Case
